Every year on the 2nd Saturday in December at National Cemeteries across the country, pine wreaths are placed on veterans graves to honor their service. This is a program that was started by the Worchester Wreath Company in Harrington, Maine in 1992. The program was started at Arlington National Cemetery and has grown to include all National Cemeteries and other sites worldwide where veterans are buried. Because the program has grown so much Wreaths Across America has taken on the task of fundraising to cover the costs of the wreaths. The deacons are joining with Wreaths Across America to help sell these wreaths. All wreaths sold by the deacons will be placed at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA. The wreath laying ceremony will take place on December 11th at 12:00PM at all cemeteries. Wreaths can be purchased through Veterans Day in November for $15 each. We hope that Faith church members and friends will consider purchasing these wreaths to honor our veterans and to also help the deacons fundraising effort. Please return your order forms to any of the Deacons.
